Born amidst the vibrant culture of Medellin, Colombia, Osso Lovo was destined to weave the threads of artistry into the fabric of his life. With a photographer as one parent and a jazz musician as the other, Osso’s upbringing was steeped in creativity and innovation. From an early age, he found himself enchanted by the myriad shapes and colors that nature offered, a fascination that would become the cornerstone of his life’s work.
Osso’s journey led him to explore the realms of agriculture, where he pioneered future-forward designs like aquaponic facilities, organic cattle ranches, and sustainable cannabis cultivation. His artistic roots intertwined seamlessly with his agricultural endeavors, allowing him to see beauty where others saw only fields. Through his lens, the farm became a canvas, each photograph capturing the unseen wonders of nature.
Driven by a desire for authenticity and sustainability, Osso delved into regenerative practices. He questioned conventional methods, seeking ways to create farm fertilizers from within the farm itself. This quest led him to the wisdom of Allan Savory, Rudolf Steiner’s biodynamic principles, and innovative techniques from Korean Natural Farming.
Now residing between Colombia and Vermont, Osso is at the forefront of transforming conventional farms into thriving fields. His work with over 12,000 cannabis plants has gained community recognition, earning accolades for his exceptional flower cultivation.
